The second edition of Whispers of the Archipelago
Just east of Bali lies an island many overlook—Sumbawa. Wild, immense, and surprisingly quiet. This June and July, Mutiara Laut invites you to uncover its remote beauty: Saleh Bay’s whale sharks, the volcanic island of Sangeang, and the legendary Komodo dragons—woven together in a passage that blends elegance with exploration.
The voyage traces a path through the Nusa Tenggara archipelago—from Komodo to Bali, or the reverse. Mutiara Laut invites you to explore the remote reaches of Indonesia—where two of its most iconic wildlife encounters await. Over eight days and seven nights, guests will swim alongside whale sharks at sunrise, hike to jungle waterfalls on Moyo Island (a sanctuary once visited by Princess Diana, David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Maria Sharapova), and walk the trails of Rinca in search of dragons.
Mutiara Laut herself is a destination: a two-masted classsic Indonesian Schooner designed for slow travel. Onboard, days unfold gently—coffee on the deck, reef dives in warm currents, long swims, and beach dinners under the twilight skies.
Highlights of the Journey

This is more than a voyage. It’s a quiet return to the wild—off-grid, off-script, and impossibly beautiful.
